I am so excited to share that some of my work will be available through a local gallery: Pennyjane Art Company, 208 W. Main St., Coldwater, Ohio! The painting above is there now and as soon as I get the frames around there will be several more.

I decided about 4 years ago that I needed to get back into drawing and painting again. So I started drawing portraits in a sketchbook from photographs of my family. I then discovered the online world of Youtube videos and Instagram challenges. I wanted to try linoprinting and so I watched videos and read articles about how to even begin. I did some five-day painting challenges that morphed into 30-day challenges to paint or draw something every day. I entered some things into local Van Wert shows. Then I entered the Toledo Federation of Art Society show and got one painting accepted! I didn't think it could get better than that and I never dreamed that my work would actually be good enough to be accepted into a gallery. I am thrilled.

Despite all the turmoil and all the bad news in the world, I try to remember that art matters to people and that I am doing a good thing when I share mine. Thank you all for your support.
