I have been touting the Wassenberg Members Show and Sale for the last month. I highly recommend stopping there to shop for gifts - they have so many cute things that are very reasonably priced. I entered this painting for sale in that show. I painted this from a photo I took driving home the winter before last, I think. I was so struck by the pinkish hue of the sky and the silhouette of the trees against the snow. I think this painting captured that feeling and the color.
